As you may recall on a previous post we wrote about the controversy over the true gender of South African track star, Caster Semenya. Apparently “she” was kept in the dark over the controversy, being told she was taking a doping test rather than a test to verify “her” gender.

Think about that folks. Men are offended if you question their sexual orientation. Women who may be overweight are offended if you make an assumption that they are pregnant. To have one’s GENDER questioned, calls for a major rebuke and that’s not what we got from the South Africans. The federation’s response should have been: How dare you question her gender. It is insulting to suggest that she is anything other than a woman. (at this point you can play the race card for added effect). The world has always questioned the athletic prowess of African people as to assume that they are something other than human.
