It’s time for some football. As always I like to make my predictions and this year I start with the NFC. There are really aren’t too many surprises but I will say that I’m not excited about the Eagles or the Cardinals. Those teams will struggle. Tampa Bay and Carolina are intriguing but the biggest question mark is reserved for the NFC North. What will injuries do to the Vikings? Are the Bears really primed for a move? Is Detroit better than they…well, how could the be any worse?

This is especially important for the Super Bowl. I never liked the idea that a game as important as the Super Bowl can come down to who wins the coin toss. This format is better than the college format because it still maintains a ‘Sudden Death’ aspect to it. A defensive-minded team can hold a high-powered offense to a field goal, it gives their offense the incentive to score a touchdown and win or at least tie it again and put the pressure back on the defense.

After five weeks, it’s time to shake up the rankings just a little. There are teams that I have been a little too hard on and others I’ve forgiven their misdeeds because of past achievements. But true objectivity is in order to ensure that my rankings maintain their credibility.

Another week of football and come and gone. What we can say is that the Lions have finally won a game. It was bound to happen and the Redskins should be ashamed of themselves. The Vikings are holding it down at number one again but there has been some shakeup in the rankings. Check it out.

I won’t go into much detail with this division. I’ll just tell you where I think the teams will finish. This division for years has been considered extremely weak, but it is getting stronger. Look for a once very proud franchise to make strides this year.

This division is really intriguing for years it has been considered the strongest division in NFC, and arguably in the whole NFL. Last year the Redskins finished in last place and were 8-8 not great, but not awful. I think the Redskins finish in last place this year. They have a great defense, but a inept offense. This division is a 3 horse race, but each team has a fatal flaw. Dallas has questions at the wide receiver position, and depth issues in the secondary.
